wednesday. i got to talk to my sister today. now i'm happy. although it took me four tries because the pay phone here sucks. everytime i pushed i number it entered it twice. i had my first class with the kindergarteners. there are two right now. mary and sara. they are a handful. half of the time they were talking to me in korean and i had no clue what they were saying. i did get them to sing the abc song and after the fifth time i really started to hate it. while reading to them i realized all they probably hear is me saying "blab.blab.blab.blab.dog. blab.blab.blab.cat". they got bored with that fast. i did get them to describe the pictures. ita was all mommy, daddy, brother, baby. its definitely going to be interesting. i have them everyday from 11 - 11:40. for lunch i had a cold soybean soup with noodles. there were actual ice cubes floating in my soup. very interesting. it looked like i was eating a bowl of noodles with cream sauce but every time i took a bit it was cold. there was even a hard boil egg floating around. it was actually tastey. a tad bland but after the last seven days of spicy kimchee it was a nice change. the crazy thing about ordering lunch is that when they deliver the food it comes in plastic bowls that one would get at the restaurant with this super industrial syran wrap. its so hard to get off. i've definitely bringing some back to the states with me. its beats ours hands down. anyway when lunch is over we take our dishes and place them outside and some food fairies come and collect them. love that.
on our teachers jean is quite nosey and a little know it all. today i caught here going through my notebook so i told her that in america we poke people's eyes out you snoop. its so fun to mess with her. she has no idea what horace and i are saying half the time. sally was out of town so i didn't have my second class. i gave my orange b class, the pre-teens who range from 10 to 14, korean style moon pies. i'm now buying my students affection with snacks. anything that gets them to learn i guess. they're coming around slightly. they still act very serious. i'll brake them soon.
after school horace and i went to carre four again. yes i know its like an everyday thing for us. i'm sure they hate us by now. i forgot to mention before but they have a girl who stands on a platform dancing and directing cars into the parking lot. its so great. we're going to capture it on video one of these days.
i had a ham sandwich for dinner. at least i hope it was ham. who really knows. it was the only packaged lunch meat kind of thing i found in the store. i also purchsed a mat to sit on. seeing that there are no couches, i needed something to sit on while typing. the pillow and towel i've been using just doesn't cut it. of course they didn't have any plain ones left so i got the anime hamster one. it makes me happy. still working on photos. hopefully they will be up by this weekend. i'll keep you all posted. time for bed. a bed where my feet completely hang off. goodtimes.
