happy new year and all that jazz

as i was watching the snow fall the other day i couldn't help but think that last week i was sitting on the beach in the sun. i think i wore my bathing suit all week. so nice. now i'm back in minus 10°C. to put a finishing touch on my bad week i ended up shrinking my wool hat. but never fear cuz i found a fabulous white hat in old ansan. i might not be able to find a camera charger in my neighbor but gloves, hats, scarves, and socks can be found everywhere. YOU GOTTA LOVE THAT!! we are now into the second week of the month and i've had 17 new students so far. one of my classes is maxed out and another is getting quite close. the best part of though is i got to name some of them. some of them already had names. boo. here are students i got to name: zander, ruby, paris, anya, cordelia. zander is absolutely adorable. today he air guitared for me. while he was doing it he jumped in the air. so damn cute. i know i shouldn't have favorites but he's definitely on the list. zander is also the one who told his mom that he met a foreign teacher who has his hair dyed and permed. yes apparently they all think i perm my hair. he kills me. if i could i'd bring him home with me. did i tell you all i spent my new years on a beach. well i did. our hotel had a little show. i thought it was kind of interesting. yes, it definitely had its lame moments but they were trying. we actually stuck around for awhile. that is until they were going to make people dance and since by this time the majority of people were gone and i had already participated in two games i knew we were going to be selected to dance. vickie and i looked at each other and decided it was time to bolt. from there we went down to porn bar where we rang in the new year. there were loads of people dancing, fire dancing, etc. it was great. which brings me to my reason for posting tonight. i uploaded some photos from news years eve. click the link below and enjoy. i got one more set of photos to go and those are from the elephant riding. YEAH!!! i also have some video but i haven't figured out how or where i'm going to post them since they are so big. once i do i'll let you know there are some good stuff like: vickie and i playing a game at the nye party, on the snorkling trip, thai dancers, and elephants bathing. MORE YEAH!!!
