deary diary–
something wicked this way comes…with the approaching warm weather that is finally hitting lovely ansan the temperature in our school is qetting quite frosty. i'm not really sure what is going on nor do i think i want to but something is definitely is brewing. the tension over the last couple of weeks has been mounting. jane who for the most part has been quite friendly become the ice queen. i think some words have been said between her and the korean teachers about losing students and who is to blame. what this means for our school i have no idea. i can only hope that they aren't planning on shutting down or getting rid of me. but if they do then i'll have to figure something out. can't be that hard. i was told today that we have to go to e-mart next saturday to pimp ourselves out. should be good times.

so with the change of seasons we've also be struck with yellow dust. it seems that every year around this time dust and pollution from the gobi desert [thats china] blows into korea. apparently its not so good to breathe in hence the sars masks. the also have alerts letting us know how bad it is. its so crazy. lately too the news has been nothing but japan, japan, japan. this whole textbook and dokdo island thing is all anyone can talk about. it'll definitely be interesting to see how it all plays out. especially since japan is not only pissing off the koreans but the chinese too. christine, my co-worker, is getting us "dokdo is ours" t-shirts. yeah!!! i can't wait. they are now allowing people to go tour the island too. i've never seen a whole country rally behind one cause before. they sure are passionate about it though.

today i saw my first scooter accident. well, i didn't see it happen but i saw the aftermath of it. i'm actually surprised i haven't seen more especially with how bad the scooter drivers are. it looked as if some woman in her car hit the scooter. the scooter driver was in the ambulance. and kid you not five minutes later as i'm crossing the street was almost hits me…a freakin scooter.

all around town the flowers are starting to blossom. from my school window i can numberous cherry blossoms. they are so pretty to look at. i'm so looking forward to spring and the flowers. they've also been practicing soccer over at the high school which i can see from my window too. every once in awhile i find myself staring out there watching them play. daydreaming. wondering what it would be like to be in high school here. my acupuncture/acupressure has come to an end this week. i'm starting to feel a little better which is good. its not as painful as it once was. it onlly hurts when i sneeze. the muscle relaxants are still working though. i had to go to a different pharamcy since i didn't want my student's parents to think i'd become a junky on the stuff.
