muni conversation 154
subjects: 3 female [either high school students or college, who can really tell these days]
route: line 5 [from downtown to inner richmond]

unfortunately, i don't have any direct dialogue from these ladies. i didn't catch wind of their conversation until my ipod had stopped playing. normally, i try to jot down what i heard but it's been a couple of days and of lot of it has escaped me. i am constantly amazed at the amount of people that feel the need to have phone conversations and personal conversation on the bus. granted, i know we all have them, but there are ways to carry on a conversation without everyone on the bus hearing. it's the need to talk at full volume which grates on my nerve. personally, i don't care to hear what you need to buy at the store, or what you watched last night. if you are planning to converse so that all can hear, at least be talking about something interesting.

case in point, the three ladies mentioned above. i couldn't see any of them because the bus was extremely crowded. all i know is that they were somewhat close to me. they first grabbed my attention because they were talking about being bi. two of the three claimed to be so. one girl was talking about how her mother was bi. this lead to the other to start inquiring about her mom as if she wanted to met her. the other mentioned how she has a gay cousin and was surprised that no one caught on to her being bi since she bonded with her cousin. then they started talking about a girl in their class who was bi. this eventually lead into a discussion about gay people and how they love them so. the one girl literally yelled out, "gay people are so cool. i love them."

once they finished discussing the gays, they moved on to gang banging. apparently, all three of them are gang bangers. they went on to discuss which gangs their boyfriends belonged to and so forth. one of them seemed to have dated members from each gang mentioned [bloods, crips, etc.] and was comparing them. that's really all i heard. they got off the bus during their gang banger debate. i must say, it was all quite entertaining. if every one's conversation was this interesting, i wouldn't mind the public conversations so much. sadly, it's not always the case. anyway…stay tuned for more enlightening tells from muni.

stay gold & be well…
