melt your heart

deery-lou.
previously on the e-list…

friday was a somewhat busy day. early that morningi had an interview, although as of yesterday i found out i didn't get the job. merry christmas to me. then that night i spent some time with "mr. s". we dined, hung out, and i had some coffee. it was nice. i definitely do enjoy spending time with him. he makes me think. which is totally a good thing. it was especially nice since i was heading out for florida on sunday so it would be awhile until i saw him again.

kate, joe, derek, & i ventured out on saturday to check out the bazaar bizarre, an arts and craft show being held at the sf county fair building. i didn't even know there was a county fair building in golden gate park. there were a lot interesting booths there. martin hsu was by far my favorite vendor. i really liked his illustrations. derek ended up buying a really cool picture. while walking around i also tended to notice that beside there being a lot of felt there, owls seemed to be the animal of choice. i must have missed the memo of the owl rebirth. owls still remind me of my youth. my mother was an avid collector. i managed to leave the bizarre having only purchased 3 postcards and a couple of pins. there was a whole lot more i wanted to buy but refrained. i'm such a good boy.

sunday my day started at 4am. the shuttle bus was suppose to pick me up between 4:50-5:05 am. it was a good thing i was ready to go early because they showed up at 4:40 am. ten minutes early. my flight took off at 7am. it was pretty uneventful. i sat next to a baby. as baby's go he was extremely good. i was quite surprised. i did manage to catch a few winks of sleep which was much needed. i arrived in miami around 4pm. i spent the evening hanging with my sister and her family. it was nice. on monday my sister and i did some running around sans children. i'm sure it was a nice change of pace for her. the kids are adorable. i just want to squeeze their little faces. spending time with them is great. although i forgot how many questions children have about everything. paige and i organized a princess party the other day. it was a giant hit. all the stuffed animals enjoyed themselves. can't wait to see what is next.

i wish i could say that everything was going as smoothly but its just not the case. holidays always seem to bring about tension and unfortunately this trip has already been plagued. i'm contemplating cutting my trip short by a few days. i'll probably wait til the end of the week to decide. although i do know that next time i won't be coming for so long of a time.

stay gold & be well…

Oh dear. Families.

But I'm impressed at your restraint at the bazaar!

I'm hoping you enjoy the time with the kids and then get ready for the exitement of setting up home!

Hey Ethan,
Checking out your blog. Noticed you enjoyed "Bazaar Bizarre". My friend here in Boston/Cambridge, Simone, is one of the organizers. Small world!

Merry Christmas,
Vikki
