oh, where to begin. it was a wild weekend up at the river. a group of us went up on friday for misty's don't call it a shower celebration for her upcoming wedding. the weekend was filled with eating, drinking, singing, costumes, and croquet. what more could you ask for. we managed to squeeze in some hot tubing and river floating. the weekend was a blast. i got to reconnect with some peeps i haven't seen in a long time and also had the chance to get to know a few peeps who appeared on the scene after i had left for korea. friday was mostly spent eating, drinking, and hot tubing. stayed up a bit too late chatting with lisaj. she has a way of reviving people just as they are about to feel sleepy. luv her for that. saturday we had a big breakfast together then we changed into our costumes for creative croquet. it felt a little like alice in wonderland out on the croquet field. i did notice that during the game everyone was playing so nicely. no one whacked a ball off the course. if only i had the chance i so would have. hehe. after the match d, kate, lj and i floating around in the river. no one else was brave enough to follow. it was cold at first but once you got use to it and were out it the sun it felt good. the rest of saturday was spent with more drinking and eating. i did manage to get some hot tub time in there too. after dinner we gathered together and shared misty stories. it was so great to hear every one's stories etc. that they shared. here's a special presentation by p&b. how great were they. [the video is a tad dark, sorry about that].

the evening ended with some karaoke thanks to ali who had a traveling karaoke machine. we all headed back to sf after breakfast on sunday. it ended up being an awesome weekend. and hopefully one that misty will remember for some time.

here are some things i learned this weekend:
1. costumes are F.U.N
2. hippies & astronauts cheat
3. wigs make everyone happy
4. bending over in a short skirt is never a good idea
5. window dancing is the way to go
6. food always taste better after swimming
7. croquet is a long slow game
8. deep down everyone loves karaoke
9. balloon & bubbles make everything better
10. a weekend away with friends is awesome

i've uploaded my photos to both snapfish and flickr. they're the same. so for those that keep complaining about snapfish can view them on flickr. enjoy!

dead in love

deery-lou.
ummm, hi halloween decorations! it seems like everywhere i go there are witches, ghosts, and pumpkins staring at me. what's up? isn't it a bit earlier to fill the aisles with halloween stuff. after all its only september. don't get me wrong. i love halloween. it's one of my favorite holidays. a chance to dress up and act silly. oh wait, i do that all the time. a chance to see others dressed up and act stupid. i guess i forgot how big the holiday really is. in korea we were lucky to find a small aisle of stuff in the local e-mart. here we have entire stores filled with ghostly goodies. there have been a couple of times when i actually forgot it was still september. does this mean i can start eating halloween candy early. the strange thing is that even card stores are going overboard. halloween mania has taken over the world. i should probably start thinking about a costume asap.

went to the lucky store to try on some jeans and got a whole lot more. the clerk was uber friendly. so much in fact that at one point he told me to turn around so he could see how my ass looked. he also put his hand down the front of the jeans to show me how they weren't too tight. does this really happen? as i was leaving he remarked how hot i looked. still not use to people actually talking to me while i shop. i didn't buy any jeans. i was too scared. spent most of the day downtown. did a lot of window shopping. so many things i wanted to buy, but i don't have a home for them yet. which is probably good.

today we are off to the russian river for misty's bridal shower. should be a blast. i'll be sure to write all about it when i return.
